This music gives me an inexplicable feeling

This is one of those classic pieces that you may recognize, but never know the name of. But I hope this amazing melody will brighten your day.

 

Gymnopédie No. 1 is a short classical piano piece composed by the French composer Erik Satie (1862-1925). This famous piano music has a calm and peaceful atmosphere with a very beautiful melody, and can even be associated as an ambient music. However, many people also describe its sound as sad and nostalgic.

 

Here there is no defined harmonic structure. Satie was able to create reflective music with a melody that moves slowly over a simple and extremely impressionistic harmony reminiscent of a Van Gogh or Monet painting.
